Fay Nye is a licensed and published illustrator and pattern designer from Shropshire, UK. Surrounded by lush countryside, she draws inspiration from nature – animals, flowers, landscape, as well as the rich history of the Arts & Crafts movement. Aspiring to the motto: Beauty through craftsmanship to create designs which merge simplicity, functionality, and elegance.
All designs are started with hand-drawn sketches and painted watercolour ink motifs. In Photoshop she assembles them into playful, whimsical designs from delicate illustrations to intricate repeat patterns. Capturing the tranquil moments from her surroundings, from blue waters and birds to wildflowers and butterflies, Fay's work represents all that nature is - beautiful, vibrant, and full of life.
